Payment

I am currently in network with the following insurance plans:

  • Aetna

  • Cigna

  • Optum

  • United Healthcare

  • Quest

I also accept clients who are interested in private pay. I believe in making therapy more accessible and I strive to make therapy work for each client; this means I offer a sliding scale fee and can provide a superbill,* if requested. During your free consultation call we will discuss your current financial situation and work together to determine an appropriate fee.

*A detailed bill that is provided by clients directly to their insurance provider in order to receive possible reimbursement for services. Reimbursement is not guaranteed so I strongly encourage clients to contact their insurance providers directly to see if they offer coverage for Out of Network providers.

Good Faith Estimate

For those who decide to not utilize their insurance providers, I will offer what is called a 'Good Faith Estimate.' This is an itemized form that will help ensure there are less surprises when it comes to knowing what therapy will cost. A good faith estimate attempts to gauge the approximate length and cost of services after learning a little bit about your history and goals.

While it is natural for people to end or extend services based on events occurring in their life, a good faith estimate ensures clients feel they have autonomy and choice within the counseling space when it comes to their financial situation. Rest assured that I will continue to have open conversations regarding the length of services and communicate any adjustments in your treatment needs if your therapeutic needs change.

No Surprise Act

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

l  You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

l  Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

l  If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

l  Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.

Get to Know Me

I know it can be daunting taking this first step towards working through, and accepting, your emotions, past experiences, and current stressors. I know because I, too, have been in the situation - endlessly scrolling in hopes of finding a therapist who would allow me the space to be myself. In my therapeutic space, ALL people are welcome to be themselves, always.
